“The human body is dependent on water for survival. It helps to flush out toxins from the body, carry nutrients, regulate body temperature, moisten tissues, and lubricate joints. Drinking h2o is beneficial to all life. It can also enhance energy, alleviate constipation, be part of a healthy weight loss plan, and is good for the skin.
Not getting enough water can lead to problems associated with dehydration, such as sleepiness, fatigue, headache, confusion, dizziness, lightheaded, or dry mouth. Don’t wait until you notice any of these symptoms to prompt yourself to re hydrate. Take an active role in staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water. You can never go wrong by drinking a cup of water BEFORE you feel thirsty.
Here are some hydration pointers:
*Drink h20 as part of your morning routine, and end your day with a cool glass of water.
*Drink before you feel thirst (thirst is a sign that your body is already starting to dehydrate).
*Since thirst is often confused with hunger, try drinking water when you think you feel hungry. True hunger will not be satisfied with only water.
*If you have trouble remembering to drink h2o, set up a schedule that works for you. For example having a small glass each hour or a large glass at every meal & snack.
*Jazz up your water by adding lemon, lime, orange, cucumber, mint, or some other favorite of yours.
*Lastly, my personal favorite: I freeze a half to three quarter full water bottle & add more water as I’m going out for the day. I have cold water for a much longer time while running errands & going to exercise.
Water is nature’s beverage. There’s no calories and it’s free!’
